National Online Recruitment Awards

The National Online Recruitment Awards, commonly known as the NORAs, is a prestigious awards organisation dedicated to celebrating excellence in online recruitment and the continuous improvement of candidate experience. Established in 2001, the NORAs have spent 25 years recognising the very best examples of innovation and best practice within the recruitment sector. The organisation operates as an independent judging body, with nominations and submissions welcomed from both the public and the recruitment industry, evaluated by panels of HR and recruitment experts to determine finalists and winners across multiple award categories.

The NORAs view the recruitment sector from the perspective of the jobseeker, shining a light on employers, recruitment firms, and job boards that demonstrate progressive thinking and commitment to candidate-centric practices. The awards programme encompasses recognition across various recruitment disciplines and service providers, with the NORA Fellowship Award and NORA Academy Award representing special accolades within the annual ceremony. The organisation maintains the NORA Academy, comprising 546 members who are all former winners and finalists since the awards' inception, creating an exclusive community of recognised recruitment excellence.

Based in Glasgow, the National Online Recruitment Awards cover the whole of the United Kingdom, hosting an annual in-person awards event that brings together industry leaders, sponsors, and award recipients. The 25th annual NORAs ceremony was held in London on 13th November 2025, marking a significant milestone in the organisation's history. The NORAs serve as the definitive measure of standards now expected by candidates, inspiring finalists and winners to continually strive for better practices and innovation within the online recruitment landscape.
