Monarch Education

Monarch Education is an education staffing business that supplies primary, secondary and SEN schools across England. It places temporary teaching and non-teaching staff in primary, secondary and SEND settings, and also offers tutoring. It is an approved tuition partner on the National Tutoring Programme.

The company was formed in 2000, initially based in Birmingham and covering only the West Midlands. It extended to the Black Country in 2001 and to Coventry and Warwickshire in 2002, then opened offices in Manchester in 2008 and Bristol in 2010. It now has branches in the East Midlands, North West, West Midlands and South of England, with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Nottingham. Monarch is part of Affinity Workforce Solutions, which was created in 2017 and incorporated the Monarch Education and CER brands.

Through the Government Commercial Agency framework it offers multi-academy trusts a managed service covering all of their temporary staffing. It reports that 3,450 candidates worked, 1,439 clients were placed and 164,401 days were filled last year.
