Mission Critical Recruitment

Mission Critical Recruitment (MCR) is a Sydney-based recruitment agency that works only in the data centre industry. It was established in 2018 by director Gareth Johnston, and it recruits across the full design, build and operate lifecycle of data centres.

Its recruitment practice is split into three specialisations: Engineering and Construction, Executive and Commercial, and Facilities and Operations. Its clients include cloud providers and data centre operators, consultancies, construction and engineering contractors, and vendors such as solutions providers and product manufacturers. It also draws on candidates with transferable skills from other mission critical industries, and says it advises on attracting new talent to the industry, including graduates, apprentices and career transitioners.

MCR has offices in Sydney and Singapore, and says it also has one in the Philippines. It provides recruitment services across Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.
