Mec Spirit is a Dutch HR and career company based in Baarn that describes itself as an organisation for health, self-development and meaning, and as a bureau for the body, the mind and the business. It works from a holistic view and says it has 40 disciplines in house, drawn from both alternative and mainstream services, so that a client can be offered both. Most of its work is delivered as individual programmes built around the uniqueness of the person, and it notes that six to eight of its people may work with a single client, each from their own discipline. Personal care and attention are described as the basis of its results, and the company has been operating since 2001.

Its services cover recruitment and the wider employment cycle. MEC Recruitment Solutions builds successful working relationships between employers and the Zelfstandige Professional through a personal and careful method, on the principle of the right people in the right place. For companies and organisations it offers voluntary mobility and job placement, sickness absence work and project management for reorganisations, answering questions such as how to bring down a high absence figure or how to handle outsourcing abroad. Employees approach it when they think they have burn-out, want career planning and advice, or fear losing their job. Entrepreneurs use it for commercial and creative coaching, intuitive business analysis and reducing sickness absence. Having started out working with government and non-profit institutions, the company says commercial and business clients increasingly choose the same approach for their staff and managers. It also runs a course calendar and rents out its location.
