MAYDAY Technical

MAYDAY Technical is a recruitment agency that places technical, trade and engineering professionals with businesses across Australia and New Zealand. It recruits in manufacturing and industrial operations, supply chain and logistics, and construction, engineering and technical roles. Its services cover contract, temporary and permanent hiring, volume recruitment, payroll services, and skills and aptitude testing.

The company is headquartered in Sydney, with further offices in Melbourne and Brisbane. It began as MAYDAY Blue, launched in 2018 as a small electrical labour hire business supporting electricians, HVAC technicians and plumbers on Sydney projects, and is now MAYDAY Technical. It belongs to the MAYDAY Recruitment Group, which launched in the Sydney market in 2016 and started with three founders. The Melbourne office opened in 2024 and the Brisbane office in 2025.

David Booth was appointed in 2020 to lead the next phase of growth. He brings over 15 years of experience in supply chain, construction, facilities management and engineering recruitment, it says.
