About the Agency
Maxima is a national, not-for-profit employment services organisation with its head office in Adelaide. It has operated since 1985 and says it works with employers to help people into meaningful employment across Australia.
Its services include temporary and permanent recruitment, apprenticeships and traineeships, Indigenous employment programs for First Nations people, and disability employment support. It provides Inclusive Employment Australia, the program that replaces Disability Employment Services, in Western Australia (Perth, Fremantle and surrounds) and Southern Adelaide.
Recruitment covers office and professional roles such as receptionists, business analysts, accountants and payroll staff, and industrial roles including horticulture, warehouse work, truck and forklift driving and general labouring. It also says it can help with IT, administration and retail positions, and it places staff at recreational facilities in South Australia. It reports over 1500 roles filled in the last 12 months and 428 apprentices and trainees. Kate Thiele is chief executive. It serves communities across Australia, with appointment-based support in areas without offices.
