MAK Recruitment is a recruitment consultancy based in the Midlands that specialises in placing professionals into the civil engineering industry. It places candidates with construction contractors and consultancies across the UK, and says it partners with blue chip contractors, regional civil engineering businesses and specialist subcontractors.

The vacancies it recruits for range from graduate level positions to roles paying £100k and above. Roles include setting out engineers, site engineers, sub agents, site agents and site managers, general foremen, project managers, contracts managers, quantity surveyors from graduate to senior level, commercial managers, estimators, planners and health and safety managers. It also fills director-level posts such as operations directors, commercial directors and CEOs.

The business was set up by its director, Matt Bailey, who progressed from trainee recruitment consultant to team leader at a construction recruitment business in Birmingham. He founded it to offer construction companies a consultancy that can adapt more flexibly to their recruitment needs.
