Leonid Group is a specialist search and talent advisory firm focused on corporate governance, covering compliance, risk and audit, legal, ESG and sustainability, and data privacy, as well as forensics, investigations and disputes. A professional services team recruits in R&D tax, corporate tax and tax and incentives. Clients operate in sectors including energy and commodities, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, chemicals and technology.

Founder James Mitchell started the company in 2018 as a specialist R&D tax recruiter and still heads it. The corporate governance division was added in 2020. Leonid works on a retained search basis, with clients paying in advance, and says its consultants handle at most three roles at a time. It aims to complete mandates within 30 days and produces short video interviews with candidates for its shortlists. Since 2025 it has also offered Talent Intelligence, including salary benchmarking and skills gap analysis.

The firm works internationally and says it has made placements in over 30 countries. It has offices in London and Barcelona, and its talent acquisition team collectively speaks 11 languages.
