LocalGov Staffing Solutions (LGSS) is a woman-owned small business that recruits for local government. It says it focuses exclusively on local government recruitment, covering municipal and county roles, including hard-to-fill technical positions. The company says it has nearly two decades of experience in local government recruitment and staffing, and its founder describes working with local government clients nationwide.

Laurie Pederson founded the firm. It offers two recruitment services. Targeted outreach recruitment covers a consultation, creating or reviewing the job announcement, and direct outreach to active and passive candidates by email, LinkedIn and phone, on a 45-day timeline. Full service recruitment adds pre-interviews of qualified candidates, scheduling of client interviews, background screening of the finalist, and offer and negotiation support.

The company says most searches are completed within six to eight weeks. If a placed candidate leaves within 60 days, it has 60 days to replace or refund. It also operates a job board and a section for job seekers.
