LabourCo

LabourCo is a co-operative of members that supplies skilled and other workers to industry and commerce, including contract work on a short-term basis. It also moves temporary workers into permanent roles, and says it charges no fee for that transition. Its stated mission includes providing short-term employment that helps people gain full-time work, and preserving a person's rights as an employee and a member of a union.

Beyond supplying staff, the company says its pre-employment assessments include drug and alcohol screening. It offers full payroll management, rostering and out-of-hours response. It also works with clients on work health and safety, through pre-placement site safety reviews, toolbox talks, accident investigations and return-to-work management. On industrial relations it says it works to Fair Work compliance and works closely with union and worker groups. It states that its management system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

LabourCo has offices in Newcastle and Tamworth. The Newcastle office covers Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast, Maitland, Cessnock, Dungog, Singleton, the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Wollongong. The Tamworth office covers New England, the North-West and the Upper Hunter.
