J. Kent Staffing is an independent, woman-owned staffing and recruiting firm based in Denver, Colorado. J. Kent Gervasini founded it on 15 July 1979 as a direct-hire search and placement firm, and a temporary division followed in 1980. The firm says temp-to-hire was born during the 1982 recession in Denver. In 2012 it expanded into government staffing with a five-year GSA contract. In 2017 Gervasini sold the company to Karen Booher, who had joined it in 1994 as its accountant.
