Indyschool Consultancy is a search and consulting firm for independent schools. It describes itself as a boutique leadership search firm built by former Heads of School. Its search work covers Head of School, division head, chief financial officer, director of advancement and director of enrollment management roles, along with other senior administrative posts, interim leadership placement and international school leadership search. It uses a competency-based hiring approach and says it presents five or six vetted candidates rather than a dozen or more. Pricing is a flat rate by type of search, with no membership fees, initiation fees or search commissions.

The firm also consults for schools on strategic planning, enrollment and marketing, philanthropy, governance, and leadership coaching and mentoring, and offers Insight-CQ institutional assessments. It says it works nationally, with particular familiarity with boarding, Montessori, Catholic, Episcopal and all-girls schools and international settings. It is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association.

The founder and president, Tim Viands, has been a teacher, administrator and Head of School, and says he has more than 30 years of experience in school leadership and consulting.
