Indeed Flex

Indeed Flex is a temporary staffing business that works through an app, connecting job seekers, whom it calls Flexers, with employers that need shifts filled. It launched in 2015 as Syft, aimed at the hospitality and events sector. Indeed acquired it in 2019, and it rebranded as Indeed Flex.

The company supplies workers in hospitality, industrial, facilities management and retail, in roles such as forklift driver, machine operator, bartender, event staff and cleaner. It says it has expanded into light industrial, retail, facilities and clerical work. Workers complete a one-time onboarding interview before their first shift. Employers can use a Marketplace of pre-verified workers, or Flex Plus, a platform for managing a supply chain, along with tools for workforce scheduling and agency management.

The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with offices in Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville and Las Vegas. It operates in multiple cities across the US.
