Impact Apprentices Pty Ltd

Impact Apprentices Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based company that provides electrical apprentice hiring and labour hire across Victoria. It operates as a registered Group Training Organisation, which means it directly employs apprentices and places them with host employers in the electrical industry. It has operated since 2014, and Stephen McKay is its Managing Director.

For host employers, it handles recruitment and onboarding, and says its apprentices are pre-screened and safety-trained, for example with White Card, EWP and Working at Heights tickets. It manages wages, tax, super, PPE and insurance, and works with registered training organisations on training contracts and progression.

For apprentices, it arranges placements, mentoring and support towards the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician. It also runs a Skills Centre, a training facility with accredited trainers, and an Apprentice Mentoring Program. The company reports a 98% completion rate for apprentice electricians placed through its program and over 90 years of combined industry experience.
