Ideal Nannies

Ideal Nannies is a private household staff recruitment agency based in West London. Karen Murphy established it in November 1988. She is a qualified NNEB, a trained Montessori teacher and an experienced nanny. The agency says over 90% of its business comes through recommendation.

It places nannies, maternity nurses, housekeepers, nanny/PAs, governesses, mothers helps and other household staff with families in London, across the UK and overseas. Placements can be permanent or temporary, live-in or live-out.

All candidates are personally interviewed and must provide photo identification. References are checked and any gaps in employment history are verified. The agency says all its candidates are DBS checked and have Paediatric First Aid training. It also works with families throughout the interview process and offers post-placement support on request.
