HK Recruiting

HK Recruiting is a women-owned recruitment firm founded in 2017 by Helen Kurtz. It recruits for companies in the biotech, life science, medical device and pharmaceutical industries, and also works with candidates to match them with positions that suit their skills and interests.

The firm fills roles at all levels, from entry level to executive positions. It is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a postal address in Orinda, California, and recruits nationwide. Its team comprises Helen Kurtz, Managing Partner, Christina Staubus, Partner, and Katie Lu, all working as executive recruiters.

The company says its recruiters have over 40 years of combined experience in the life sciences, with backgrounds ranging from bench scientists to technical sales representatives. It says it works closely with clients, using that scientific and industry knowledge to present vetted candidates, and that it supports panel interviews and offer negotiations.
