Heroscout

Heroscout is a SECO-approved recruitment agency for the Swiss healthcare sector. It places nursing staff, doctors and therapists with hospitals, clinics, care homes and Spitex home-care organisations, and says it has been SECO-approved since 2018. The roles it fills include registered nurses HF, FaGe healthcare workers, Spitex staff, ward managers, nursing assistants, midwives, specialist, senior and chief physicians, and physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

The agency combines AI-supported matching with personal advice from recruiting and nursing specialists. When no suitable vacancy is advertised, it approaches employers directly through active sourcing. Candidates pay nothing, as employers cover the fee. For care institutions in German-speaking Switzerland it keeps vetted professionals available even when no position is open, and it describes a fixed monthly fee as an alternative to a commission per hire.

Heroscout was co-founded by Ivan Schwendener, a qualified nurse HF, and Jannick Oberbeck, who is tech lead. It has offices in St. Gallen and Kreuzlingen and recruits across Switzerland. It reports more than 500 successful placements, over 100 partner institutions and an average of 14 days from first enquiry to offer.
