Hawthorne Recruitment Inc

Hawthorne Recruitment Inc is a boutique executive and professional search firm based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It finds leaders and specialists across Halifax and Atlantic Canada, for roles ranging from a first hire to a chief executive.

The firm works across sectors including real estate and development, construction and infrastructure, technology, energy and renewables, healthcare, legal, education, and financial services and insurance. A public sector practice serves government departments, Crown corporations, municipalities, regulatory bodies and public agencies, running retained searches for roles such as Crown corporation chief executives, municipal senior administration, and director and manager-level posts.

Its process begins with discovery work with the client, then builds a target list, works its network and approaches people who are not actively looking, and finally manages the close of the offer. The team is small. Scott McGaw is Founder and Managing Partner and reports more than 15 years in search, and Abby Vansnick is a consultant.
