Harris Hill Independent Schools is a recruitment agency that places teachers, heads and supporting staff in independent schools. It was founded in 2011 by Devra Farhi, who still leads the business, and it reports that it has placed more than 800 teachers, heads and supporting staff.

For schools, the agency handles advertising, applications and screening, leaving the school to interview shortlisted candidates. Roles are advertised on The Guardian, its own website and other platforms, and it also runs targeted search campaigns. It draws on a candidate database built over 15 years, covering teachers at all levels and a wide variety of subjects across the UK. The agency visits schools to understand their culture and requirements, and it charges nothing if it does not find someone the school wants to appoint.
