The company was launched by its founder, Ross, who has worked in the accountancy and finance sector for almost twenty years. He started his recruitment career in 2005, spent eight years covering the non-qualified market with a large global recruitment business, then ten years specialising in the qualified market at a Scottish firm.

Gunn Financial Appointments concentrates on permanent appointments and works with organisations ranging from early start-ups to global brands. After reviewing a client's culture, structure and the role, it can work on a retained search or, depending on the level of the appointment, a contingent basis.
