Guild Recruitment International

Guild Recruitment International is a Cape Town agency that specialises in butler recruitment, locally and internationally. It was founded in 2009 and says it was, and still is, the only placement agency solely focused on butler placements in Africa. The owner and head recruiter is Adriaan Coetzer.

The agency works in association with the South African Butler Academy (SABA) and recruits only butlers who have completed the academy's course. It also places household managers and estate managers. Its butlers have been placed with royal families, VIP clients and executive business clients, and in hotels, resorts, jets, private yachts and cruise liners. Both temporary and permanent placements are offered. Candidates are screened through on-site fingerprint facilities linked to the South African Police Service database, covering criminal clearance, identity, education, employment history and references.

The agency says it will add permanent staffing for domestic couples, housekeepers, housemen, nannies and caregivers.
