GIG

GIG is a temporary staffing agency in the United Kingdom that provides flexible, permanent and bespoke workforce solutions. It supplies staff for hospitality, stadia and events, warehousing and logistics, engineering, healthcare, and admin and clerical work. In hospitality its roles include waiting staff, chefs, bartenders and kitchen porters. It also helps clients hire permanent staff, from front line to senior management.

GIG was founded in 2014 and is founder owned and operated. Antony Woodcock is co-founder and Managing Director, and Daniel Woodcock is co-founder and Operations Director. The company began in hospitality, moved into stadiums and events in 2017, and later added warehousing and logistics, winning contracts with firms such as Eddie Stobart Group. It works through its own app and says it has over 25,000 registered seekers. In 2020 it began developing and trialling GIG Hub, a staffing model for clients with high staff turnover or little available labour.

GIG provides free online training and offers apprenticeships. It has offices in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Kettering.
