Gewoon henk. is a Haarlem based intermediary for the creative industry, offering personeelsoplossingen across design, tech and creatie. It was started on 1 December 2016 by Henk Dijkstra, who built his network working as a graphic designer, project manager and talent agent, and set out to do recruitment with less flat data and more attention to the person. The company places professionals as freelancers and ZZP'ers for short notice, flexible cover, and through detachering for longer term team members, taking care of verloning so the client can begin inwerken straight away.

The work is grouped into three fields. Design covers UX and UI design, product design, art direction, illustration, retouching, animation, motion graphics design, service design and CX design. Tech covers frontend development, iOS and Android development, agile and scrum masters, product owners and WordPress specialists. Creatie covers graphic and visual design, content creation, DTP, packaging, copywriting, project management, editing and SEO specialists. Selection runs as a continuous study of both hard and soft skills, on the principle that the right professional in the right place raises productivity and effectiveness.

Gewoon henk. works from Wilhelminastraat 16 in Haarlem and places people on assignments around the country, including a senior redacteur brief for the ProRail Klimaatadaptatie programme in Utrecht and an online specialist role in Alphen aan den Rijn. Collaborations named on the site include FD, Waternet, Schiphol and the NPO, and reviewers from Keesing Technologies, Gemeente Amsterdam and Nederlandse Spoorwegen rate the company between 8 and 9 out of 10 for approachability, speed and well matched candidates.
