gdR

gdR is a Canadian recruitment firm that works with technology companies, from startups and scaleups to large and enterprise tech businesses. It offers two services: executive search and team recruiting. Its executive search practice has led searches for C-level, Site Lead, VP and Director roles. Team recruiting covers individual contributors such as engineers, data scientists, product managers and designers, as well as lead, staff, principal and manager positions. Team recruiting is charged on a value-based fee structure.

gdR says its expertise spans sectors including artificial intelligence, health tech, drug discovery, autonomous vehicles, robotics, semiconductors, fintech and climate tech. Its functional areas include engineering and systems, AI and data, and product.

Bruce Dorland and Melissa Grossman co-founded the firm in 2007, and Dorland is Managing Director. It is a virtual team based in Canada with a Toronto mailing address. In 2016 it co-founded the Canadian Tech at Scale conference with Jean-Michel Lemieux and Boris Chan.
