Gateway to Germany

Gateway to Germany is a recruitment firm that finds German professionals for Dutch companies expanding into Germany. It was founded in 2001 and says it has more than 20 years of experience in recruitment in Germany. In its early years it worked as a generalist, producing market analyses, marketing strategies and networking events as well as recruiting German staff, before its focus moved to recruitment.

It fills sales and management roles, including account managers, key account managers, sales managers, business development managers, country managers, managing directors and service engineers. The sectors it names are fashion and textiles, food and beverage, software, data and analytics, manufacturing, logistics and e-commerce, and lifestyle and consumer. It also covers Austria and Switzerland. Each assignment starts with a personal kickoff meeting to define the role profile. Alongside recruitment it helps clients set up a GmbH and draw up employment contracts under German law.

The company has a team of six Dutch-German professionals, led by CEO Enrico Kretschmar, with offices in Utrecht and Düsseldorf.
