The company was founded by Joe Lillington, who has more than six years of teaching experience in China, Thailand and the UK. As an Academic Manager in China he was responsible for recruiting and hiring teachers from around the globe. Fly To Teach works through a network of schools, agents and education professionals, and also deals with schools that want to recruit foreign teachers. It says its services are free. It trades as a name of One World Ltd, and says it has secured work for teachers in many types of schools since it began, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.
