Flexparency

Flexparency is a Dutch company whose stated mission is to make the interim market as transparent as possible by collecting the assignments that are available online and sharing them with interim professionals. Its promise is simple: it works for the professional, who stays in the lead when landing an assignment. Registration takes three steps, with no lengthy forms to complete, followed by setting out preferences so the company knows what matters to the candidate in a new assignment, and then responding to the matches Flexparency proposes. In its own blog the company describes itself as the counterpart of a Managed Service Provider, working from the interest of the candidate rather than that of the hiring organisation.

The company covers assignments in every corner of the market, listing sales, onderwijs, industrie, hoger management, finance, communicatie, inkoop, zorg, ICT, HR, marketing and overheid as the branches it serves. Its reasoning is that most clients now hire professionals through online channels such as inhuurdesken, werken bij sites, dynamic purchasing systems, MSPs and brokers, and that because each channel has its own approach and its own requirements the market is hard for an individual professional to survey.

Flexparency works from Oder 20 in The Hague and can be reached by email and telephone. It states that it has the majority of assignments in view, with more than 160,000 unique requests over the past year, that it works only with current requests, and that it identifies new ones within 30 minutes of publication. It also builds partnerships to widen its reach: interim assignments for marketing professionals are now available through The Freelance Qommunity, and its cooperation with the digital marketplace Spinweb allows detacheringsbureaus to outsource the placing of professionals who are temporarily without an assignment.
