First Team Staffing

First Team Staffing is a recruitment and staffing firm founded in 1982 in Baltimore, Maryland, by Richard Sovero. It says it has grown from a single branch to serve businesses across the East Coast, and it reports more than four decades in business. Rick Sovero has been president since 2002.

The company specialises in recruiting and placing professional and temporary workers. It offers direct hire, temporary, temp to permanent, seasonal and project-based staffing. Professional roles include administrative, customer service, data entry, human resources and management positions. Light industrial roles include forklift operators, assemblers, pickers and packers, shipping and receiving clerks, and warehouse supervisors and managers.

First Team also provides onboarding, candidate tracking, spend and attendance reporting for temporary projects, and payroll and billing through an in-house team. It runs recruitment and service centres and on-site locations in Maryland, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina.
