First Point Group

First Point Group is a recruitment agency specialising in data centres, telecommunications and technology. Alistair Rynish and David Taylor founded it in 2004 as a specialist telecoms recruitment business. It is now headquartered in London with 11 offices worldwide, including Dallas, Toronto, Mexico City, Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Dubai, Johannesburg, Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Its teams recruit across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and Australasia.

In data centres it recruits across the facility life cycle, including operations managers, critical facilities engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers and sales roles, with colocation as one area of focus. In telecommunications it places engineers as well as sales, pre-sales, finance, HR, legal and procurement staff. Its technology work covers areas such as DevOps, cloud and infrastructure, and broadcast media.

Services include permanent and contract recruitment, executive search, market mapping, recruitment process outsourcing and scope of work delivery. It reports that its staff speak 20 languages, that it has worked in over 180 countries and that it has made 40,000 placements. It has worked with Airtel Africa since October 2012 on search and selection for permanent roles across Africa.
