First Achieve

First Achieve is a recruitment business that places staff in engineering, technology, finance and executive roles for employers across the UK, Europe and the USA. Its consultants work in four specialist desks, and the consultant who takes a brief runs the search.

The engineering desk covers precision engineering, CNC, fabrication, maintenance and quality roles for engineering and manufacturing businesses. The technology desk recruits for software, cybersecurity, networking and infrastructure, AI and data. The finance desk fills qualified and part-qualified roles from transactional to controller level, and the executive desk runs retained director and C-suite searches. Clients can engage the company on a contingent, retained or embedded basis, or through a paid Contingent + membership.

The head office is in Glasgow, with further offices in Manchester and Athens. Glasgow serves employers across Scotland and Manchester serves those in the North of England. The company reports more than 1,000 placements. It also owns three software products, Taligent, RecSign and RecLens, which its own consultants use.
