Fineks

FINEKS is a network service that brings together Finns living abroad and the Finnish employers who want to hire them. Its starting point is that roughly 300,000 Finns live outside Finland, a diverse group the company describes as an underused talent resource that recruiters find hard to reach. FINEKS is the name of a service provided by EFA International Oy, business ID 3385032-7, and its stated aim is to help build a vibrant Finland and a vibrant Finnish business life by turning brain drain into brain gain.

Rather than specialising by sector, FINEKS specialises in a type of candidate: the internationally experienced Finnish professional. It serves companies with four hiring situations in mind, recruiting a Finnish returnee who brings international expertise home, hiring a Finn already living in a target country who has local knowledge, finding specialists globally for roles where Finnish language and cultural understanding matter, and hiring remote workers in those same language sensitive situations. For candidates the network covers returning to Finland and finding the best possible job there, staying abroad and working for a Finnish company in the country of residence, and staying abroad and working remotely for a Finnish employer.

Membership works on a voluntary, consent based model. Candidates join by sending a CV and whatever other details they choose, and FINEKS contacts them when their skills are needed at a client company. Joining takes under two minutes, commits the candidate to nothing and is always free, and data is held confidentially and processed in line with the privacy statement and the GDPR notice published on the site, with consent revocable at any time by email. Employers are asked to make contact at [email protected] so that the recruitment challenge can be worked through together. Confidentiality and the interests of both candidates and client organisations are described as the principles the whole service is designed around.
