Energy Services Group International

Energy Services Group International (ESGI) is a staffing and consulting company for engineering and IT positions, concentrating on utilities and industrial clients. Five founders launched it in 1983 to provide engineering expertise and management oversight for boiling water reactor modification projects in the commercial nuclear field, primarily in the eastern United States. Tom Gillman, a cofounder, is President and CEO.

ESGI supplies contractors to nuclear (PWR and BWR), fossil and hydro power plants and to government projects, including Savannah River and other national labs. Its IT staffing covers areas such as software development, infrastructure, ERP, business intelligence and security. Services include contract, contract to hire, payrolling and permanent placement, and it works with clients' HR departments or their managed service providers. An Engineering and Technical Consulting Division carries out managed tasks.

The company was originally located in Williamsburg, Virginia, and moved in 2004 to a facility in Toano, Virginia, where its corporate office is. It says it has served power producers for more than 30 years, and it has an office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
