Energy Africa Recruitment

Energy Africa Recruitment is a specialist recruitment and talent advisory firm that works exclusively in renewable energy. It recruits specialist, senior and leadership staff for IPPs, EPCs, Owner’s Engineers, developers, capital providers, specialist law firms and insurers, across development, construction and operations. It does not recruit for junior or entry-level positions. Its work is delivered primarily in South Africa, and it gives Cape Town and Johannesburg as its locations.

The firm offers three engagement models. Retained search is its primary model for critical roles and comes with a market mapping report, a Gap Analysis and a Due Diligence Report. It also runs exclusive searches without a formal retained structure, and limited contingency work in which it is one of a maximum of three recruiters on a role. It says CVs are only sent with the candidate’s permission.

Energy Africa Recruitment is founder-led and guided by Elaine Alberts. The firm says it is shaped by over two decades in recruitment and more than a decade in South Africa’s renewable energy market, and that it has built a network of more than 10,000 renewable energy professionals.
