Empowered Recruitment

Empowered Recruitment is a recruitment agency with an office in Townsville City. It recruits for technical mining, engineering, infrastructure, senior finance, procurement and accounting support roles, and handles full-time, part-time and contract or interim vacancies. It works with both employers and candidates.

The agency was set up by co-founders Johan Eriksson and Peter Mulligan. Eriksson has over four years of recruitment experience and three years as a qualified accountant, and focuses on accounting and finance. Mulligan has over seven years of experience with an international recruitment agency and specialises in technical and senior-level positions across civil infrastructure, mining, engineering and heavy industry for regional areas.

Its process has five steps, from an initial discovery of the client's needs through to scheduled check-ins at key milestones, including a settling period of up to 180 days. Candidates are sourced through the AI-powered database LOXO, LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search, talent networks and referrals. Candidates also receive help with resume optimisation, interview preparation and career advice.
