Employee Matters

Employee Matters is a Sydney-based HR outsourcing consultancy that also provides outsourced recruitment to businesses across Australia. It was founded in 2011 by Natasha and Mark Hawker, and Natasha Hawker is its Managing Director.

The company places what it calls Experts, experienced HR and recruitment staff, inside client businesses to work as part of their teams. Its recruitment service covers filling one role or dozens across any industry sector, and includes end-to-end recruitment, tiered recruitment packages and hiring manager training. Its Recruitment Partner Service is a flexible arrangement that it says typically costs 30% of what traditional recruitment agencies charge. The company says it is not an agency.

Alongside recruitment it offers outsourced HR, including HR consulting, workplace training, HR policies and procedures, an employee assistance program and a managed HRIS. It supports small and medium-sized businesses, and features Australian startups and finance, insurance and fintech firms as industries. It helps clients in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and other Australian towns and cities.
