Educator's Ally

Educator's Ally is a placement and recruitment firm for independent day and boarding schools across the United States. It was founded in 1975 by Jane Burditt and Lucy Stanton, two independent school educators, and is led by Lisa Lovering, who is president and placement director. Its team works remotely, with members across the country.

The firm refers candidates for teaching posts, including early childhood, elementary, English, history, languages, music, science, mathematics and learning specialist roles. It also carries out searches for senior administrators such as division heads, deans, athletic directors, development directors and chief financial officers, and refers staff for non-teaching roles in areas such as admission, communications and residential life. Schools can also use it for short term and immediate staffing needs, and it offers retained search.

Placement support is free to candidates, who also receive help with resumes, interview preparation and advice when an offer comes through. The firm says it has long-standing relationships with hundreds of day and boarding schools.
