Dutton Recruitment supplies permanent, temporary and contract staff to employers in engineering, construction, nursing and medical, mechanical and electrical, building services, IT, energy, administration, commercial and logistics. Roles include registered nurses, healthcare assistants, electricians, plumbers, IT support engineers, administrators and drivers. It also runs payroll services for clients, from one to thousands of workers.

The business was formed in 1982 as Welding International, supplying staff to the engineering industry across the North of Britain under Harry Dutton. It later branched into other sectors as Dutton International Ltd, and in 2016 rebranded as Dutton Recruitment Ltd. It says it has also grown by acquiring existing recruitment businesses.

Its head office is in Sheffield, with branches across the UK including Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Newcastle upon Tyne. A branch in the Netherlands is described as its first overseas branch, and the company says it serves clients throughout the UK and worldwide.
