Becoming President in 1993, he worked extensively with organisations in financial services, consumer products, manufacturing, travel, hospitality and aviation, and with the nonprofit sector including Christian organisations and universities. Before entering executive search, Bruce spent nearly 20 years in the hotel, food service and food distribution industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and serves on the boards of Crossworld and Global Christian Relief.

The company is based in the United States and day-to-day leadership and operations are overseen by Tim Bernstein under Ardent Search, Inc., with Bruce Dingman now serving in an Of Counsel and Emeritus role as a valued advisor. Tim co-founded Ardent Search in 2007, having previously served The Dingman Company by leading the research and reference functions, candidate development and client relationships. Before executive recruiting he led his own consulting practice specialising in reorganisation and systems and structure improvement, and for eighteen years held leadership positions in operations, strategy, marketing and development in Fortune 100 companies as well as municipal, educational and faith-based organisations. He holds a Master of Organizational Leadership from Biola University, a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University, and a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Northridge.
