Development Careers is a Brisbane-based recruitment firm specialising in property development and construction, established in 2007. It works with developers and builders across Queensland and Australia, and says it focuses exclusively on this sector.

In development, it recruits across the project lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through to construction delivery and sales, for roles such as development managers, development directors, acquisition professionals and property analysts. In construction, it places professional and technical staff with builders on residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, including construction managers, estimators, contract administrators and CAD drafters. It also recruits senior and director-level leaders, on permanent and fractional terms.

Services include end to end recruitment, executive search, position analysis and job description writing, blind advertising, reference checking, and psychometric and skills testing. The company sources from both active and passive talent pools. Its consultants worked in construction or development before moving into recruitment. Founder and Managing Director Kirsten Keenan moved into recruitment in 2004, taking a national leadership role with Drake International.
