Cornbread Hustle is a skills-first staffing and employment agency, with Dallas, Texas in its web title. It places people in background-friendly jobs across the United States, focusing on workers it calls STARS, meaning Skilled Through Alternative Routes. These include people returning from incarceration and people in recovery from substance use. Its stated mission is to connect them with employers who assess candidates on potential rather than their past.

For employers it offers staffing and direct hire, and consulting. The company says it has placed thousands of people in roles ranging from entry level and general labour to six-figure management and highly skilled work. It describes itself as a TruRecruiting company.

Dallas entrepreneur Cheri Chafin Norris created the business, and in March 2016 she helped its first employee find a job. The company also runs The 12-Week Starting Over Program, an interactive video course that it says is offered free in prisons nationwide, and in 2024 it produced a report on second-chance hiring.
