Cormack Recruitment

Cormack Recruitment is a Canadian recruitment firm based in Calgary, Alberta. It was founded in May 2015 in British Columbia by Annabelle Cormack. After five years in business, ownership passed to Amanda Cox, who had joined as Lead Recruiter in January 2016 and is now its Chief Recruitment Expert.

The firm focuses on customer experience and service roles, mainly on a permanent basis, and organises its work into four areas. These cover sales, business development and marketing; customer service, account management and client success; technical service and trades, including collision repair specialists, skilled technicians and trade leads; and bookkeeping, accounting, office administration and operations management. It also says it does not specialise in one sector, and fills roles from emerging talent to executive leadership.

Cormack serves employers of all sizes across Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax. It works on a contingency basis, with no fee upfront, and combines headhunting of passive and active candidates with a multi-stage vetting process. Candidate support such as resume coaching, interview preparation and offer negotiation is free. It reports a turnover rate below 1% for placements after one year.
