Cookson and Roberts

Cookson and Roberts is a recruitment business specialising in the consulting engineering sector. It was founded in April 2020 by Natasha Cookson and Anna Roberts, after the company they previously worked for became an early casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic. The two say they have combined experience of over 20 years in recruitment.

The firm handles temporary and permanent recruitment of technical engineering specialists, from drafters and engineers through to senior appointments, which it works on discreetly through its networks. It also offers payrolling of contract staff, covering short-term workflow gaps and longer project support.

Its areas of expertise are civil urban land development, transport, built environment and traffic. Roles include civil, structural and façade engineers, bridge engineers, Revit drafters and modellers, traffic modellers, transport planners and project managers. The company sponsors the Association of Consulting Structural Engineers and attends industry seminars and networking events.
