Coleman James is a specialist independent recruitment firm focused exclusively on construction, rail and the built environment. It was founded in June 2016 by Managing Director Andrew Mackay, a recruiter with over two decades of experience in senior roles at national and international recruitment firms.

The firm recruits across architecture, building services, civil engineering, construction, housing, facilities management, interior design and rail. It works with contractors of all sizes, from large international and regional organisations to specialist outfits and sub-contractors. Services cover permanent and temporary recruitment and retained or executive search, and it says it actively headhunts passive candidates. Its process includes pre-screening and psychometric testing.
