CoLegal

CoLegal is a specialist legal recruitment agency serving the New Zealand legal sector. It recruits professional and legal support roles at all levels of business, for private practice and in-house positions, from recently qualified lawyers to Partner and General Counsel level. It is based in Auckland, with a national and international reach, and has offices in Auckland and Christchurch.

The roles it fills include solicitors, associates, legal counsel, legal secretaries, paralegals and trust accountants. Its in-house clients come from property and infrastructure, fintech and financial services, insurance and the public sector. It also recruits risk and compliance staff for banking, insurance and wealth management organisations.

The CoLegal brand launched in June 2021, but its legal recruitment practice has operated since 2016 as part of Cobalt Recruitment, which opened its first New Zealand office in 2009. Guy Davidson, a director and co-owner, set up CoLegal with Adam Walker and Anand Ranchhod, who is managing director. It won the 2023 RCSA Outstanding Agency of the year award in the up to five staff category.
