Chelgrave Contracting Australia is a family run labour hire company founded in Melbourne in 1979. It supplies tradespeople and technical staff on short and long term assignments, covering both temporary and permanent requirements, and offers maintenance and shutdown services. Its head office is in Mentone, Victoria, and it says it works nationwide.

The company says it specialises in manufacturing, food and beverage, and general engineering. Its labour hire work is offered as straight labour supply, supervised crews, or fully managed projects. For shutdowns it provides tradespeople together with planners and supervisors, and it can also deliver contracted works on a schedule of rates, agreed hours or fixed price basis.

A separate Technical department places engineers, drafting staff, supervisory and management staff, and technical and scientific professionals on contract or permanent terms. Chelgrave has offices in Victoria at Mentone, Hastings, Tullamarine and Maryvale, and in Brisbane, Queensland. It is a foundation member of the Victorian Labour Hire Group, and Steven Ellery is its Chief Executive Officer.
