Carnegie Consulting is a specialist recruitment firm for private markets and alternative investments, founded in March 2006 by Guy Steel, who remains Founder and Director. It recruits across investment, finance, operations, business support, human resources and compliance, with sector coverage that includes private equity, private credit, infrastructure, NAV financing and secondaries, fund administration, asset management and hedge funds. Carnegie NAVsec is its dedicated division for NAV financing and secondaries recruitment.

The firm offers permanent recruitment, contract and interim placements, executive search, payroll and compliance support, and talent advisory covering market mapping, compensation benchmarking, organisation design and succession planning. It works on both retained and contingent bases. It says the majority of its mandates come from repeat clients.

Carnegie Consulting is headquartered in London and has an office in New York. It covers Luxembourg through a strategic partnership with Greenfield, and says it supports clients and candidates across the UK, Europe and the United States.
