Care Recruitment International

Care Recruitment International is a specialist recruitment agency that supplies live-in carers to private households in England and Scotland. It works with a care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission, and places one dedicated carer with each client under what it calls its "One Carer: One Client" model. The family takes part in the selection and makes the final choice.

Many of its carers come from the Philippines, and it also recruits from other countries. It says all its carers are pre-approved by the Home Office to work in the UK, hold formal caregiving qualifications and typically have at least three years of care experience. Candidates are assessed on character and competence, and screened for English proficiency. Carers support clients with needs such as dementia care, stroke recovery, post-hospital rehabilitation, companion care and respite care. The company reports a 99% retention rate.

The company was founded by Melvin Byres and Malcolm Loudon. Its live-in care plans start from £988 per week, with recruitment fees included. It says the service suits rural areas such as Norfolk, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, East Sussex and Oxfordshire.
