Buckmaster Hawkey

Buckmaster Hawkey is a Melbourne recruitment consultancy that specialises in the real estate and property industries. It was founded in 1981 and says it was the first recruitment consultancy in Melbourne to focus on the employment needs of these sectors. It says it places hundreds of people each year into roles in residential sales, property management, project marketing and sales and leasing.

Alongside recruitment, the firm gives consulting advice to property employers. Managing Director Mark Appleby advises clients on workplace needs assessments, remuneration and business structures, and handles some senior and executive appointments. He joined as a consultant in 2001, took part in a management buyout in 2007 and is now the sole director. The firm says its consultants combine recruitment experience with a background in property.

The company is based at Level 22, 120 Spencer Street, Melbourne. It says it works to the RCSA Code of Professional Conduct.
