Blackthorn Talent Acquisition

Blackthorn Talent Acquisition is a recruitment business based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was established as Blackthorn Talent Acquisition Limited in 2022 and operates from an office on St Asaph Street.

The company has a particular focus on accounting practices. James Power, its accounting practice specialist, connects New Zealand practices with staff for tax, audit and advisory teams, from intermediate level through to partners. Colin Cowgill, its executive recruitment specialist, recruits for New Zealand companies. The company also runs confidential searches for roles in the hidden job market.

It says it aims to find candidates who are often missed by traditional recruitment channels, and that it never shares candidate details without explicit consent.
