Blackden Consulting is a niche recruitment firm serving the US tax and UK/US tax markets. It connects Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents and Juris Doctors with tax roles at boutique, mid-tier and Big Four firms, and works with professionals from trainee to partner level, including part-qualified candidates working towards EA, CPA, ATT or CTA qualifications.

It recruits across private client, trusts, corporate tax, wealth and asset management, insurance and M&A transaction tax. For employers it offers retained search for senior and business-critical appointments and contingent search for selected junior and mid-level roles. Alistair Marriott founded the firm in early 2018 and leads it with Sophia Hartmann. It is based in Covent Garden, London, and covers Europe (including the UK, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Belgium), North America (New York and Canada), the Caribbean (Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Bahamas) and fully remote roles.
